Imagine Aretha Franklin with a keytar. Now imagine her as part of a tight pop/rock outfit that plays to get a crowd moving--and that includes covering Akon, Gnarls Barkley, and Aretha herself!

In Radford, Virginia, where the mountains are blue and the vultures red, 4/5 of Kapluckus were born and raised. As they grew stronger and taller throughout their childhood and adolescence, they worked on an array of musical endeavors together, from indie garage bands to high school drumlines.
At Appalachian State in Boone, North Carolina, they met a young, angelic singer from Wilmington (NC). Drawn together as sailors to the shmirens' call (the shmirens were sisters of the sirens who used their power for good rather than evil), they have since remained one Kapluckus, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. They just released their first album, Endless Space.
