Bio
After a twelve year hiatus, Kara Tondorf, is back with a sophomore album that rattles heart strings, challenges love and friendships, and analyzes seasons. Kara is a singer-songwriter from Scituate, Massachusetts who has since moved back to her hometown where she has written a majority of the new songs for this album, Ever After. Her first album, I like Your Face, was released in 2001, and was voted #1 album of the year by Music Connection Magazine. The first track on the album “Your words” was featured on the Sony Picture Series, Dawson's Creek. Kara has shared the stage with amazing local musicians such as Josh Ritter, Michelle Malone, Melissa Ferrick, Ryan Montbleau, Will Dailey, Joe Delault, and the Aldous Collins Band.
After extensive touring for her first album and a necessary vocal chord surgery, Kara spent nine months living in Nashville, Tennessee in 2007 and knew when she recorded a new album that she would include her love for that city. She connected with Pete Stewart, a multi grammy award winning engineer & producer who lives in Nashville and most recently won a grammy for engineering and mixing “The Heist” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Also featured on the album; Nick Buda (Taylor Swift) on drums, Jenee Fleenor (Blake Shelton) on violin and Tony Lucido (Keith Urban) on bass. Ever After is a seamless blend of Kara’s personal experiences, her creative mind, and ability to create a story within her songs.
