Known for captivating audiences with her irrepressible spirit, Kara Keith is a prolific songwriter and producer. Whether you win or lose Keith's music is indie pop you hear at the finish line. Deerhoof meets Kim Deal meets Metric meets Prokofiev's Peter and The Wolf

"Piano chanteuses may be a dime a dozen, but Keith's ferociously compelling songwriting and brash originality prove that she has absolutely no intention of blending in." (Exclaim!, April 2008)

A resident of Montreal, Kara Keith and her band Your Dignity recently recorded their new full-length album Vision's Fugitives at Montreal's Hotel2Tango with Howard Bilerman.

Featuring unique arrangements and supported by her virtuosic talent, Vision's Fugitives is inspired by everything from David Bowie, Deer Hoof, Kurt Weill, Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf and Christine Fellows.

Formerly of Falconhawk, Kara Keith appeared twice on ZED TV and was showcased on Much Music's Going Coastal. She was recorded twice for CBC Radio 3 and her music video Olympia was on medium rotation on Much Music, MTV 2 and was later picked up by MTV.

Falconhawk's debut album Hotmouth, was on the Exclaim! Campus Radio charts for ten consecutive weeks peaking at number 8. The follow up, Here's Your Ghost also spent ten weeks on the national chart, reaching number 13. In January 2008, Kara released a self-titled EP with the single Kick This City, which reached number 2 on CBC Radio R3-30.

After spending six months at The Banff Centre for the Arts, Kara assembled an eclectic group of internationally renowned musicians which became her live backing band, Your Dignity. Your Dignity includes Jen Reimer on french horn and trumpet, Jamie Fooks on guitar, Markus Lake on bass and Alex MacSween on drums.

Recent performances included a live recording for CBC Radio 3 at the Sled Island Festival and a performance at the Calgary Folk Music Festival during the summer of 2008.
