The work of Chattanooga native and rapper Karamel Kittyy is based on blunt honesty and adherence to no set musical discipline. Her words sting and lacerate but also illuminate situations that can all too often be swept from public sight. Providing a personality almost as exuberant as her music, she takes the lineage of hip-hop and deconstructs it so that she can pick and choose the parts that best suit her. This can be a difficult and pointless endeavor for many artists, but she makes it seem so effortless and relevant. She is set to release her new record, "Kittyy Kreuger," May 23, and there's no doubt that it will be filled with the same harsh realities and abject truth that has come to characterize her music.
For the video to "Benji N Tooley," she enlists the help of AK Films' Keith Ward and Colby Clark to visualize the braggadocio and rhythmic complexity of this particular track. The music and lyrics seem to flow faster than is possible to keep up with, but Karamel Kittyy draws everything together, keeping all these spinning parts moving when any other person would have let it all fall to pieces. There are snippets of emerging melodies wandering throughout the song, giving each second an emotional depth and unexpected intricacy. Narratively speaking, violence, crime and corruption all meet and explode off each other, soundtracked by her ferocious, unforgiving and serrated rhymes. - Joshua Pickard

Kara'Mel Kittyy aka Kween Kara'Mel was born May 23, 1995 in Macon Georgia but was raised in Chattanooga, Tn since the 1st Grade. Between the ages of 7 and 11 she begin to write poetry. Eventually those poems turned into raps and those raps turned into music. She later went on to generate a huge following for herself. Kara'Mel posted a 15 second video rapping to Soulja Boy's Pow instrumental and it went viral generating over 50,000 shares and was even reposted by Lil Durk. The whole year of 2015 Kara'Mel struggled with charges she was facing and fighting to keep her home in the projects. These events helped her to humble herself further and strive harder to get where she knows she should be.
Shortly after overcoming her struggles, Kara'Mel realized that she could not give up on her dreams. She linked back up with her team TMC/True Millionaire Club and BCE/Bridge City Entertainment and started working on her mixtape/EP "Kittyy Krueger". Kara'Mel has since hit stages that showcased Kevin Gates, The Rich Kidz, Young Dolph and Migos. She plans to launch her own clothing line "Kittyy Kouture" and even publish a couple of stories. She is a jack of all trades. Despite all the naysayers Kara'Mel plans to take over the industry in the of 2016. She remains an independent artist.
