VANCOUVER: Karen-Lee Batten, Canada's, fastest rising independent female artist has proven that when a door closes a window opens, all you have to do is find the "YES". Thursday April 24th marks the official launch date of Karen-Lee's debut video "Hearts On The Run" on CMT Canada.
Independently filmed and funded, Karen-Lee along with good friend Trevor McWhinney, (producer, Needlefish Films), and Steve A. Adelson, (Director, The (2) Headed Monster), filmed the 2-day shoot in some of the BC's most beautiful coastal areas: Kits Beach, North Vancouver and Spanish Banks.
Shot July of Last year, Karen-Lee's debut video captures not only the beauty and talent she holds in a promising career, but expresses her time, dedication and energy she puts into every project.
" It has been such an amazing and humbling experience. To have this project come together and be so well accepted by CMT, radio and the fans it is unbelievable", says Karen-Lee.
"As an independent artist there tends to be some hoops and red tape you have to go through, but nothing drives me more then achieving my goals. I wanted to show how much I appreciate having everyone's help and support, so made the trip out to CMT and hand delivered the video. I guess this just proves that being stubbornness isn't all bad."

"Hearts On The Run", debuts on CMT Canada Thursday Aprilth at 7:51 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. EST (4:51 a.m and 11:45 a.m. PST). Make sure you tune into your local radio station and request the single as it hits radio airwaves April 28th.
