Biography

Consider the View
"Sometimes songwriting is all about recovery.
Getting on your feet.
Pushing up to your tiptoes.
Hoping to get a better view of what just happened.
Or what might happen.
Or what happened a long time ago and something Brought the memory rushing back.
It's a refusal to punt when you find yourself holding the ball."
kc '07

She consistently mixes the highest quality songsmithing, honest and intelligent lyrics, and fine-tuned musicality only time and experience can deliver.

Quiet. Rowdy. Bluesy. Fun and Introspective. No fear. No moments wasted.

Lyrics

Hey, It's Just Me

Written By: Karen Chronister

if i were a house
i’d build myself with love
open a window every night
shine out my light on the stars above

if i were a tree
i ‘d spread my arms open wide
offer rest for the weary wing
lean towards the wind til it subsides

but i am not a house
and i am not a tree
it’s winter here, Love, and nobody’s home
what should I do?
Where should I go?
this is not a dream
this is frailty
hey, it’s just me
one line of poetry
hey, it’s just me

if i were the earth
I’d run to the end with you
race over plains and climb on high
show we can weather this storm too

You build me strong
You grow me tall
come for me, Love, break down these walls
show I am not in vain after all
somewhere deep
and somewhere wide
hey, it’s just me with nothing to hide
hey, It’s just me

You are the sky
You cover the blues of my deepest sea
capture the sweetest prayers I lift up
pull me to shore and set me free

You build me strong
You grow me tall
come for me, love, break down these walls
show I am not in vain after all
somewhere deep
and somewhere wide
hey, it’s just me with nothing to hide
hey, It’s just me

…hey, it’s just me
with nothing to hide
Hey, it’s just me won’t you come on inside?
