Karen Miranda Creel

For Karen Miranda Creel, music has always been a major part of her life. At the age of five, she began to play the piano and later taught herself the guitar. During high school, Karen began to sing in the school choir and was the accompianist for the high school ensemble. In 1999, she received the Senior Musician award which was the highest award in the high school's music department.

The summer before she left for college, Karen committed her life to serving God in ministry. The path since then has been that of a roller-coaster. During college, Karen got the chance to be a part of both the adult and youth praise bands occasionally having the chance to lead worship. It was during these four years at school that God really taught her what it meant to worship Him.

Worshipping God needs to become our lifestyle. Everything we do needs to be done to glorify Him and lift Him up. Karen Miranda Creel desires to see people come before God, crawl up in His lap, and allow Him to hold them as their Daddy. God has brought her through many trials in the last two years, but He has proven Himself faithful through everyone of them. The trials and triumphs of Karen Miranda Creel are evident in her songs. The songwriter manages to put into music all the hurt and joy she has experienced in her life.

In March 2004, God used some very special people in her life to help her remember her true calling. These people were instrumental in Karen being where she is today. A couple of months later, Karen attended the Embassy Music's Ultimate Talent Search and learned so much more about her craft and ways to help in her ministry. She has since gone back for several workshops and seminars and has gained more knowlege in songwriting and artistry. Embassy music has played a major role in Karen's life this past year and she looks forward to working with them again.

For now, Karen Miranda Creel is working as a music buyer for a Christian bookstore. Being on the retail side of the music business has helped her in gaining an understanding which will be extremely helpful to the future of this artist. Currently, she is also leading worship for her church's youth services and continues to cultivate her craft of writing. Hopefully, she will begin recording a project within the next couple of months and begin ministering and leading worship for various church functions.
