"Two Hearts"

Karen Davis started writing poetry at the age of nine and hasn't stopped since. At the age of 7 years old, Karen got involved in many areas of dance which include jazz, ballet, tap and belly dancing and believed that her true calling was dancing until she sang on stage for the first time at the age of sixteen.

Karen still feels that her dreams and goals can be reached, though it might take a lifetime. The greatest influences musically in Karen's life are, of course, the poets because she loves writings that tell a story. The Eagles (Don Henley) especially, Bon Jovi, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Carol King to name a few. The vocalists she is inspired most by are Jewel, Lea Salonga (Les Miserable, Miss Saigon, etc) Olivia Newton-John, and Sara McLaughlin.

Karen would love to do something with her music and writing and of course vocals as far as profession goes and has stated that, "You are never too old to do anything!!"

Karen Davis has succeeded in finalizing her first album with LOHNRIVER and Corey Fish as well as other collaborators.

Karen recently recorded two songs written by Jenna Vescio which are on the newly released CD titled, "Nashville Nights".

Bio

As a writer, my influences are Don Henley, Jewel, Carol King, Dolly Parton. I love stories in song and like to focus on a story and lyrics more than the arrangement. Vocally, I am told I sound somewhat like Jewel, but I have also been told that I have my own sound. What sets me apart from others is that I am adaptable to any type of music. I love it all!
