Karen Poole

With a combining eclectic and energetic blend of Praise & Worship and Contemporary Gospel, Karen Poole has set the stage for the prophetic to flow through the ministry of song. A native of Chesapeake, Virginia and born into a family of song writers, singers, and musicians, Karen has been actively involved in music ministry since the age of 2. As the Lord spoke to her, she began writing songs at the age of 12. Soon after, she organized the music group Tri-Christ. As time went on, Karen ventured into different aspects of the music industry. At the age of 16, Karen Poole auditioned for Showtime at the Apollo and sang at various churches & universities in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
In 2007 she was a finalist in the Seven Cities Idol Competition. In 2008, Karen appeared on popular TV show Teen News Now for their annual Christmas special. Karen Poole has also appeared on several local radio stations including The Current 103.9 FM with DJ Quote and
Rejoice 100.9 with Brutha Ray Pope. Throughout her musical career, the uniquely anointed sound has given Karen the opportunity to be a featured background singer for several major artists such as Dorinda Clark-Cole, Deitrick Haddon, Natalie Wilson, and others.
Karen’s sound has captured the ears of various music producers and music labels in Hampton Roads. Karen Poole is currently working on her debut project, Life Lessons, which is set to be released in the summer of 2009. With great determination as an entrepreneur of her own business, Sweet Melody Ministries, Karen Poole is devoted to spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom through an elite sound that will captivate, motivate, and liberate.
