Bio

Former NFL All-Pro Athlete, Karl Mecklenburg emerged from being a college walk-on to a career that included six Pro Bowl and three Super Bowl appearances. Considered the NFL's most versatile player, Karl often played all seven defensive front positions.
Since retiring from pro football in 1995, Karl spends much of his time traveling the country, sharing the lessons that life in the NFL taught him about teamwork, courage, dedication, desire, honesty and forgiveness, and goal setting. These are values that are essential to success in college and beyond.
His humanitarian work also remains a consistent priority, forming the REACH Foundation in an effort to further impact the youth of Colorado. Thousands have participated in this program since its inception. Karl also contributes to several other organizations that focus on improving the situation of underprivileged families. KarlÂ’s philosophy is straightforward yet pervasive and rings true in all aspects of personal and professional improvement.
