Singer/songwriter Karl Miles is not new to writing
songs. Since he picked up the guitar in the 11th grade he has been creating new songs. Miles based his songs on the new chords and techniques he wanted to learn. Karl had already taken trombone lessons for seven years and had played in concert, marching, jazz bands and the area youth orchestra. Karl also dabbled in piano and voice since preschool.
Although he recieved his bachelor degree in Trombone Performance, his desire to create music with his guitar and voice continued to increase throughout college.

In the years since graduating from Wheaton College Conservatory in 2002 he has continued to mature in his craft while working in the construction trades to support himself. He plays occasionally at coffee houses such as Uncommon Grounds cafŽ in Chicago but for the most part he played for friends and his own enjoyment. Still in the back of his mind, he was wondering when he would make the leap from hobby to profession.

Now newly married and with the support of his wife, Karl is taking steps toward his music career, happy to leave construction with all ten fingers. He has the songs, the voice and the talent. Let the music begin!
