Discography

In the course of eighteen years Karoline Krüger has released six solo albums and has been featured on numerous others. Her debut album, "Fasetter" (Facets) was released in 1988. It was with "Fuglehjerte" (The Heart of a Bird), 1993, that she really blossomed as lyricist and composer. The triology of the "Jacob's Mass", for which she wrote the music, have since the first performance in Oslo in 2000, been performed and broadcasted in several Scandinavian countries.

Her latest solo CD "De to Stemmer" (The Two Voices), based on lyrics by Norwegian poet André Bjerke, received exellent reviews and was also nominated for the Norwegian Grammy Award 2005.

The last years, Karoline has enjoyed great success on the stage of the theater: a major role in the critically acclaimed modern cabaret version of Ibsen´s “Peer Gynt” has taken her amongst others to Barcelona, Lisboa, Hamburg and New York. And this autumn her show with acclaimed Norwegian actor Espen Hana sold out all of the 50 performances at Rogaland Theater, in Stavanger.

Next year will - beside new and exciting venues for these performances - bring more work on her eight´soloalbum, the first in English. Also, the second of the triology “Jacob´s Mass I- III”, for which she has written the music, is set for release at the label KKV. (kkv.no)
