Bio
I am all about the mood of the music. When I am performing I am continuously praying. My influences come strongly from the contemporary christian artists, Bethany Dillon, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Jars of Clay.
Here is my story and how I ended up being a singer/song writer. Two years ago I had sever tendinitis in both hands from playing guitar. I am a music education major at a school in Chicago so it's kind of important that I'm able to use my hands. Once the tendinitis got so bad that I had to cancel my flute lessons and get some one else to carry my bags for me I began to contemplate switching my major. Then one night some girls that were on my floor in my dorm had asked me to lead some worship songs for them. I told them, "I would if I could but really, I can't." I showed them how bad my hands were and how I couldn't even pick anything up. That night they decided to pray for me after a bible study. 9 girls laid their hands on me and we began to pray. In the middle of that prayer I felt a warming sensation go through my hands and then a huge sense of relief came over me. I stood up after that prayer and was amazed. It took me a couple minutes before I realized what had happened, I was healed. That night I played guitar and sang praise to God.
This past summer I was directly called to be worship leader at a Camp in Lake Geneva, WI. I won't go into too much detail with how I got there but I like to believe that God healed my hands so that I would be able to take the position as worship leader at this camp. I played 5-7 times a day for 3 different programs and fell in love with music and with God all over again. This past summer I wrote 7 songs and I have a bunch more that need to be notated.
Now that my school is back in session I don't have the opportunity to play and sing as much but I will always continue to pray that if God wants the songs that He has given me to be heard, they will be.
