As husband and wife, Cha Samaraweera and
Kat Ferguson finish each other’s sentences, eagerly compliment one another, and
still easily laugh together. Making music under the name Katcha, the musical
two are magnetic — their vocals perfectly matched — they vibe and flow through
harmonies so flawlessly, you wonder why they haven’t been singing together all
their lives.
A mixture
of pretty much all genres including pop, rock, smooth jazz, dance, latin,
reggae and many more. Katcha can’t be neatly packaged into one genre of music.
Their sound has been heard by venues across Sydney and Australia, not
forgetting touring "the pearl of the Indian Ocean" – Sri Lanka – in
late 2014.
They are also songwriters and have written some
highly meaningful and powerful songs that are currently in the Top 10
Reverbnation Pop charts for Sydney, Top 15 charts on Sri Lankan radio and have
also won awards in America.
