"Int. Acoustic Music Awards - Best Female"

IAMA Web Page for Feature Artists – U.S.
Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Kate Lush's song "Isabelle" earned her 1st Prize in the 5th Annual IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards). Her radio friendly country song shows a different side of an indie artist and thus creates a "Wow" factor and is indeed a well crafted song. This is an artist to watch out for.
RATING: ***** (5 out of 5 Stars) - IAMA Web Site

"Country Music Capital News – Tamworth - Australia"

DON’T WAIT TOO LONG
Review by Jon Wolfe

Another new name to me and another female singer that fits into the very modern definition of country music but this time around there are jangly guitars and more obvious country connections in titles like You’re Still The One, Take Me With You When You Go and Winding Road – but all 12 tracks are originals either written or co-written by Kate. With a background that’s owes more to a harder edge than traditional country, Kate still manages to plant her songs firmly in today’s harder country soil and there are often quite insightful moments that make you want to hear more. Kate has done very well in US competitions – Isabelle, a track off this album, won first place in the Songwriters Association of Washington Best International Artist category - and this may serve her well here and with the current leanings of Australian country to a rockier style she will fit in well.

"Triple J Unearthed"

A Triple J unearthed listener commented on her song “Still The One”…
Her voice…“There's so much power and personality behind it. There's a definite Cheryl Crowe-ness to this track. An alternative rock sound that's risen out of country roots. It'd be awesome to hear more from you.” - Triple J Unearthed

"AMRAP"

Kate is a multi international award winning singer/songwriter… but it nearly didn’t go that way….. Kate called her album “Don’t Wait Too Long” for good reason. Like many of us just like her, Kate left her dreams of being a singer/songwriter behind because she thought it would be impossible in reality. She didn’t realize that she was letting go of something deeply important to her and over time it became quite a regret. Within 2 weeks of deciding to sing again, she had entered a competition run by Sydney’s 2DayFM Radio Station.

With a huge groundswell of support from their Sydney listeners Kate won that competition and performed alongside local and Int. giants such as Shaggy, Nelly Furtado, Vanessa Amorossi & Craig David in front of 50,000 fans at Homebush Stadium. Today she is a successful singer/songwriter releasing her superb new album called “Don’t Wait Too Long”, now available on iTunes, emusic & Amazon.

Funky
Soulful Blues.  Think
Tedeschi/Trucks/Clapton Riffs with a dash of Aretha’s Soul and Bonnie Raitt’s
harder rock edge. There’s an infectious joy that comes out of Kate Lush’s music.
Her heart & soul are in every song and performance.  Add great original songs, an outstanding
band and go prepared to be blown away.

Mike
Drayson - Sydney's 2SM on Kate’s recent album (Wild Captain Radio Tour) “It’s
heart and soul on a stick. For me it was love at first hear. It kicks arse from
track #1. Kate sings the shyte out of every song, the band seriously cooks
& the production & arrangements are masterful. If it was a recipe it
would be high end 5 star stuff. Make no mistake, this is something special on a
number of levels.”

“Love
it!"

 ‘The Wild Captain Radio
Tour’ is a tour de force. The second album of this critically acclaimed artist,
her first earned her Best International in the Songwriters Assoc. of Washington
(U.S.), Best Female in the Int. Acoustic Music Awards (U.S.) and the Aust.
Songwriters Assoc. awarded her their coveted Rudy Brandsma Award for Excellence
in Songwriting.
