Bio
Kate Beeman & The Yellow Jackets dawns hints of indie pop and a countryesque folk. The Yellow Jackets started as a revolving band to accompany Beeman on stage that landed the talents of violinist Annalisa Tornfelt of Black Prairie, drummer Eric Sanchez, and cellist Emily Dalsfoist.
Kate Beeman is a genuine American songwriter and her music stays true to form. "I have no agenda with my songs. I don't want to 'catch' my audience, I want them to feel something. I write what I feel, to remind myself of what I don't want to forget."
The singer-songwriter's solo EP Swan Island self released on bandcamp in October 2012. Vulnerable vocals, well crafted lyrics and a mix of sturdy electric and acoustic guitar the EP is the tip of the iceberg for Beeman. Swan Island is a prequel to the full length band debut that will emerge in 2013.
