Bio

Katelyn's dream is to share her musical gift with the world. She has been gifted with an amazing ability to express her emotions and life's many experiences through music both passionately and honestly. Powerful melodies and thought provoking lyrics on her debut album "Open your Eyes" take you through a tour of human emotion resulting in a fresh unique sound.

She began writing & performing music at the age of 14 before she actually knew what chords she was playing. Katelyn's early influences are artists such as Jewel, Sheryl Crow, Chantal Kreviazuk, Sarah McLachlan and Michelle Branch to name a few. She started off with an acoustic guitar busking at Winnipeg's Forks Market and various local venues. Now accompanied by a full electric band, she brings a full rich sound that will bring down the house and get audiences jumping to their feet! Recent performances include the Winnipeg Folk Festival, Red River Ex, Pantages Playhouse Theatre, and the Hillfest Music Festival. Media appearances have included City TV's Big Breakfast Show, a ½ hour segment on "Made in Manitoba", a radio talk show and various interviews. Katelyn is a member of Socan, MARIA (Manitoba Audio Recording Industry Association) and SAC (Songwriters Association of Canada). At 16, she is a passionate, focused and determined musician whose desire is to have the world hear her music!

This energetic music gets in your head and will keep you rockin’ for hours on end. Every day more and more people are "Opening their Eyes" to Katelyn’s unique blend of alternative pop. Pure class, pure beauty, pure music!
