Mit Liedern wie „Cheek to Cheek“, „I Sold My Heart To The Junkman“, „My Heart Belongs To Daddy“ und „Moon River“ zeigte sie die verschiedenen Nuancen und Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten ihrer Stimme.

Bravo! - Aargauer Zeitung

Grab your guy or gal and get ready for some great swing and jazz music with flair. Kate and The Red Thread mesh like Rosemary Clooney meets The Trotter Trio with Vince Guarlaldi (Peanuts music) on the Berlin Wall at sundown with a highball.
Kate’s rich vocals create intimacy and excitement. And like a finely tuned German car cruising along the sea coast, The Red Thread jazz trio from the Mannheim/Heidelberg area infuse this music with a life and precision all its own. Together Kate and the Thread create a live show rich with magic and full of elegance stylized for audiences who like swing music and jazz vocals.
Originally inspired by music from the swing era and movie star icon Marilyn Monroe, Kate and the Red Thread created a rat-pack style show featuring music from the Great American Songbook. Incidentally, all the songs were also sung by the late great film star. Their live show Swinging the Marilyn Monroe Songbook features music from Kate’s recordings Just Marilyn and The Best Things in Life are Free.
American-born artist, Kate Michaels, is a classically trained vocalist, and has a background in opera, musical theater and jazz. Known as a classical- crossover singer, her latest swing program reaches out from the heart of the big band era.
Kate recreates some of Marilyn's best known songs, mixing in some lesser-known gems and other standards that help give her shows a fresh, contemporary feel.
More than 30,000 people turned out to see Kate at the Centre Sportif du Bout-du Monde in Geneva where her show included A Fine Romance, Every Baby Needs a Daddy and the Monroe standard Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend.
“LISTENED TO HER ALL THE WAY HOME LAST NIGHT, SHE HAS THE MOST SMOOTH, SEXY, TANTALIZING, SEDUCTIVE VOICE I'VE EVER HEARD! She's not like Marilyn, she's BETTER!” –Lauren Hutton, Willits CA 2006
