Bio
Kate Threlfall is a soulful young singer-joker-pianist from Manchester. With her influences from Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Minnie Riperton and all things jazzy, classical and Latin in between, she delivers songs with vulnerable honesty combined with summery grooves.
Since winning UK Jazz Radio’s Best Vocalist 2010, together with her band she has performed recently at Kensington Roof Gardens with Jazz FM, at Jazz Café with Keep The Faith Productions, and the opening of Boisdale, Canary Wharf, presented by Jools Holland in April 2011. Other past shows include The Dorchester Hotel, London; Matt & Phred’s Jazz Club, Manchester; Alexander’s Jazz Club Chester, and a collaboration with The Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra’s 10/10 Contemporary Ensemble, conducted by Clark Rundell.
