Kate Walsh is a young singer/songwriter with a musical & lyrical maturity beyond her age. She is like a breath of fresh air, combining the stark lyrical attack of alternative rock with a seventies musical approach.

Biography

Kate Walsh was discovered in Burnham on Crouch in deepest Essex. A classically trained pianist, Kate had been writing poetry for years until she heard Jeff Buckley's 'Grace', got the rock n roll bug and picked up the guitar. Initially aiming to be a behind the scenes songwriter, producer Lee Russell encouraged her singing and persuaded her to make an album with him. The result of this collaboration is 'Clocktower Park', a collection of 10 songs written by Kate and produced by Lee.
The depth and quality of these songs secured Kate an immediate publishing deal with Warner Chappell and a record deal with legendary Newcastle based indie label Kitchenware Records.
Kate's influences are Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, Jeff Buckley
