Kathy Joy Daugherty is a Kentucky born singer/songwriter with a rich musical history. Kathy's passion for music was birthed early in her small, mountain church where she sang and served as pianist throughout her childhood. In the close knit town of Pine Knot, she experienced the freedom to develop the foundation that would inform and fuel her vocal, instrumental, and songwriting crafts. After writing and performing for several years, Kathy has returned to her mountain roots with her current Bluegrass project, Heart of Dreams, which features songs nurtured by a deep heritage that is true to her soul.
