Kathy Leonardo, singer/songwriter and local venetian has been scheduled to perform at “Carnevale” Saturday May 15th at 2:50 pm. “I’m very excited to be a part of this event, It is the best party of the year”, says Kathy. Carnevale, a costumed festival by the sea, was inspired by the famed Italian Carnevale. Producer Esquire Jauchem was able to secure Winward Ave and Main St. to hold the 3rd annual festivities. Talent Coordinator, Miriam Moore has lined up an incredible list of local talent.
Kathy Leonardo, a 4’11” feisty redhead from New York, has made Venice her home for the past 5 years. She is winning the hearts of her LA audiences. Her compelling melodies, intertwined with profound yet simple lyrics allow an audience to take a ride with Kathy through stories of passion, pain, love and joy. Her presence as a performer is so funny, light hearted and warm that one cannot refuse the one way ticket into her heart. Her voice can do just about anything and her music will take you anywhere you are willing to go. So, sit back and enjoy the ride.
Kathy arrived in Los Angeles 5 years ago and has been playing to packed houses in clubs such as The Hard Rock Café, Molly Malones, Genghis Cohen, and many others. She has worked extensively in New York and toured all over the country as well as Europe. She is also an actress and has appeared on Broadway and TV shows such as Cosby and currently co-produces and stars in her own cable TV Sketch Comedy Show….The Ground Floor.

So what does your every day, garden variety, very gifted singer/songwriter/commedienne do when she comes to Hollywood.
"I'm working" laughs the diminutive Kathy Leonardo who packs a lot of talent and energy into a 4'11" frame. Indeed she is. Aside from playing private party gigs, she is a regular performer at local festivals such as "The Abbott Kinney Festival" and "Carnevale" in Venice CA as well as having played gigs at Molly Mallones, Genghis Cohen, and The Hard Rock Cafe.

Leonardo is not a neophyte when it comes to the muiscal stage. Her Broadway backgroud has afforded her to play lead roles in such projects as "Nightingale" by Charles Stouse, "The Incredible Feeling show" by Elizabeth Swados,
as well as touring all over the US with Anthony Newley in a national tour of "Stop the World, I Want to get off".

Despite all the affirmation that Kathy Leonardo is receiving from her gigs all over town, she still believes it is up to her to make it happen and keep working.
