“Katie is the ‘cute girl next door” with a great voice! To see her sing you feel like you’re watching a young Shania Twain. She has a smooth delivery that seems effortless. With Katie’s crystal clear voice and friendly Southern attitude, you can’t help but enjoy yourself when she performs.”

“Just got Katie’s promo pack and I have to say I am impressed. I’ve been a lead singer in bands for over 20 years…I’ve been a singer, writer, producer, and band manager, so I think I know a thing or two about music and I think Katie could be the real deal.”

Rick Windhorst
Greater Mandeville Seafood Festival
Co-entertainment Chairperson

“Riveting, great range, awesome and powerful voice. You can use all of these adjectives when you listen to Katie perform. The teen sensation sounds like Martina McBride, Faith Hill and Sara Evans, all rolled into one.”

Bio

.. “…So if your gonna do it, do it well. If you’re too scared, then you can bail. Go Big Or Go Home!” Not only the lyrics from a new song co-written by Katie Austin, but a motto that she has always lived by no matter what she finds herself up against. This “Give it all you got” persona has led Katie numerous career accomplishments in a short span of time. Katie’s up-bringing involved many dance, theater, acting, modeling and voice lessons, which was extremely helpful in preparing her future as a well-rounded professional entertainer. Competitions, talent shows, festivals and honky tonks are where she spent most of her younger years. Even as a teenager, she was lucky enough to have a song she recorded featured on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital. Shortly after, she left her hometown of Ponchatoula, Louisiana to head for the big city lights of Nashville. Young, but strong-willed and independent, Katie did all she could to start networking and learning the inner workings of the music business. Briefly after the first move to Nashville, Katie was offered a permanent spot headlining in “Cowboy’s Dance Hall” venues located across the great state of Texas. For two years, she performed in front of thousands of two-stepping, beer drinking Texans and gained experience that every performer hopes for. She had the pleasure of opening for artists such as Joe Nichols, Rodney Atkins, Big & Rich, Chris Young and many more. While performing in Texas, Katie caught the eye of several very well respected country music stars, such as Collin Raye and John Rich. Each of them encouraged Katie to make the move back to Nashville to start the next chapter of her musical career. Since moving back to Tennessee, Katie has spent the past year reconnecting with writers, producers, and music executives. She performed at the “Get Rich Talent Contest” hosted by John Rich, and has also made appearances at several writers’ rounds around town. Busy with her writing and tracking new material in the studio, we will definitely be hearing more from Katie Austin!
