Katie Grove Band is the result of a vision that 4 musicians had - to do what they love to do in the first place – play music and have fun doing it. The new album entitled "Nonsense" includes Katie on acoustic guitar and vocals, backed by Travis Whitmore on drums/percussion, Alan Good on Bass Guitar and Todd Schlabach on Electric Guitar, Mandolin and Backing Vocals. The band started working together in 2001 in Harrisonburg, VA playing at venues such as Main Street Bar & Grill and Dave's Taverna and venturing to stages in Charlottesville, VA such as Starr Hill Music Hall and Gravity Lounge. Katie Grove Band has had the opportunity to share the stage with a variety of Virginia artists including Carbon Leaf out of Richmond, VA. As the consistent piece of the band - songwriter and lead vocalist, Katie Grove, is inspired by her experiences, by the people she's lucky to have in her life, and by her faith. She believes that one of the most important things we can do is to tell our story and is thankful to be able to express herself in this way through music.
