Lyrics

This Too Shall Pass

Written By: Katie Miner

If I can endure well this moment
No matter what’s happening to me
Firm with the knowledge God loves me and cares
Staying true when it’s hard to believe

I’m not gonna give up
Not gonna give in, I’ll be strong
When life tries to set me back
I will hold on

This too shall pass
The darkness now won’t last
Straight through the blue and black
There’ll be Son light blaring in the aftermath
Just take one step more and know
This too shall pass
This too shall pass

Now, I may not see where the end is
And it may take time to mend
But I’ve found the only defeat in life is
The one that comes from within

I’m not gonna give up
Not gonna give in, I’ll hold on
When life starts to weigh me down
I’ll overcome

This too shall pass
The darkness now won’t last
Straight through the blue and black
There’ll be Son light blaring in the aftermath
Just take one step more and know
This too shall pass
This too shall pass

I’m not gonna give up
Not gonna give in, I’ll overcome
When life takes me one step back
I'm goin' forward, three steps forward

[Chorus]

This too shall pass
The darkness now won’t last
Straight through the blue and black
There’ll be Son light blaring, blaring it will show
Just take one step more and know
This too shall pass

Just take one step more and know
This too shall pass

Daughter of God

Written By: Katie Miner

Daughter of God, dah da da da daughter
Daughter of God, dah da da da daughter [Repeat]
I am a seed from a garden of women
Sown by the love of my dear mother Eve
Who for the power of life put her faith in creation
And her trust in posterity…I will
Stand with all who’ve gone before me
My roots are truth, I shall not be moved
For I know my name and I won’t be ashamed
To be called daughter, daughter of God
Daughter of God
Sister Sarah showed nothing is impossible with God, with God
Kindred Mary taught that life lived in purity
Can have Christ within
Can have Christ born within….to

[Chorus]
Ruth showed strength to look past former days
Changed her life for the household of faith
Esther risked her life to save a race
Pressing forward with steadfastness
And in Christ I’ll take my place
I will take my place and I will
Stand with all who’ve gone before me
My roots are truth, I shall not be moved
For I know my name and I live every day
To be called daughter, daughter of God
Daughter of God

[Repeat to fade]
