Katie just finished recording her debut album with Canadian Country Music Superstar Gil Grand and hit songwriter Anthony L. Smith (What About Now - Lonestar). It has not been released yet.

At the tender age of six, Katie discovered that she loved to sing country music after
performing a rendition of “Grandpa Tell Me ‘Bout The Good Ole’ Days” by the Judds for her
Gido’s 75th birthday. From that moment on, she thrived on performing for family and friends, and
began taking classical singing and piano lessons as soon as she could.
At the age of 15, she showcased her already
considerable talents to the public by entering her first
Country Vocal Spotlight competition. Choosing to sing a
Martina McBride song, Katie’s strong and powerful voice
won over the judges, who awarded her first place!
Through her teenage years, Katie won numerous
contests and garnered many rave reviews during her stint
with Global Country’s Rising Star program. She became
the first artist to have back-to-back wins at the Country
Vocal Spotlight and Talent Explosion competitions and
was named the 2005 North American Country Music
Association’s International Female Entertainer and
Vocalist of the Year.
Katie also continued to follow through with her classical singing until she earned
accreditation in Grade 8 Royal Conservatory, and competed in many provincial Opera contests.
She also believed strongly in pursuing her education and recently completed her Bachelor of
Commerce degree with honors.
Songwriting is also one of Katie’s many musical gifts. She has spent considerable time in
the past couple of years collaborating with some of Nashville’s greatest songwriters. The music
she writes, reflects her youthful and vibrant personality, and brings a fresh and different
perspective to country music.
Katie’s many appearances at major entertainment events within North America have
allowed her to gain the experience, maturity and poise that will successfully carry her forward
into the international country music scene.
