Katrina James

Katrina James is a singer, songwriter, and composer from Toronto, Canada. In June of 2011, Katrina James released her 5-song debut EP, Everything is Relative, a direct reference to the diversity of her music.

Katrina’s hit single ‘You’, along with the rest of the tracks on her EP is currently available for world-wide purchase on iTunes. What is most impressive of James’ album is that she arranged, recorded and produced the album herself, further demonstrating her versatility as a music professional. James is accompanied on the album by artists such as Rob Brown (of The Stellas) and Luis Vargas (international performing pianist).

James is currently working on recording her second full-length album with Producer Mike Croft (Aaron Gillespie, Manifest,SkyTerminal) and hopes to release it in Fall 2013. She has already released two singles from her upcoming album, the first ‘Lost and Found’ and the second ‘I do’. Both can be found and purchased on iTunes.

James has been featured on Daytime TV twice, once to promote her EP and perform her single “You” and a second time to promote her newest full length project and perform a new song from the upcoming album titled “I Do”. She’s won several song writing and talent contests which has gained her some attention from some well-known songwriters and professionals in the industry. She’s currently working on a US radio campaign and plans to tour in the US in Spring 2013.

In addition to composing her music, Katrina James has performed at several iconic venues across North America, most notably at the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville, where Taylor Swift most notably got her start as a young songstress, and at the El Macambo in Toronto which played host to thousands of bands over the years, including The Rolling Stones and Elvis Costello. It is clear from watching Katrina James behind the mic that she is passionate about music and giving her fans the energetic performance that they deserve.
