Bio

This is the story of roommates, friends, lovers and a band called Katzenhof.

It was a night like many other nights with the three of them sitting around, drinking wine, and having a rather good time. They were listening to music and talking shit and completely unaware that in a few short hours, their lives would be changed forever.

David Katz, a tall and lanky fellow with dark hair and mysterious eyes, stood up and announced that he was going to put on the new beat he made. David was born in Chile and grew up in Miami and is no stranger to electronic music. He released his first EP while still in high school along with horror-core

master Otto Von Schirach. Since moving to New York in 1999, David has been spinning an eclectic mix of rock and electro to celebrity clientele for some of NYC's most exclusive hotspots and lounges. The moment he pressed the play button and thesound filled the room, the spell was cast and magic was about to happen.

Jana Rochelle and Shannon Young sat on the couch sipping their drinks and smoking cigarettes, while sharing accounts of the day's event with one another.
Jana, a beautiful redhead with dangerously long legs, worked as a successful model and Shannon, a blonde haired, blue eyed farm girl with a heart stopping
smile, had spent several years working in the music industry. When they heard the new track, they were immediately hooked on its infectious beat. The wine
and music flowed and then David shouted, Can you feel the fire? in a high-pitched disco voice. He continued with, It's burning you. Can you feel the fire? Nothing
you can do. They all laughed hysterically and listened to it again. This time,

Shannon piped in with, Can you feel the fire? It's in your pants. Now it's on your leg. Now it's on the dancefloor, followed by a few spirited woop woops.
Jana joined in on the verses witha sexy German sounding voiceover, and the first Katzenhof track, Feel The Fire, was born.

One month later, the buzz surrounding Katzenhof was rapidly growing and fans were demanding more music. The group realized that what started as a fun way to

pass some time was quickly becoming something more, and everything started making sense. After nine years of friendships, rent payments, love affairs, and quarrels,
they finally figured out what they were meant to do.

Their first EP, "Secretive", left some of the silliness behind and featured a diverse mix of the band's tastes layered with electronic beats, clever synth lines and
clashing harmonies. These tracks were welcomed with open arms by both indie and electro fans. Katzenhof started getting major club play in New York and
throughout Europe as their fan base worked its way across the globe.

Currently, the trio is working on a full-length album that features the sweetly sinister vocals of David and Shannon joined together by Jana's rough edged indie guitar riffs. Due out in February 2007, the long awaited LP will ask just one question of its listeners, "Do you want to dance?".
