Kavion Sabio

A young man from The Big Apple, Kavion Sabio infuses classic blues progressions with modern funk, rock, pop, and R&B. Influenced by the Blues legends of the 50's and 60's, Kavion's lyrics are formed to create intellectual stirring by way of relativity, while using his guitar skills to express joy, sorrow, and inspire emotional and soulful confidence and hope in his listeners.

With the music seed planted in him from singing in church and school at a young age and listening to Motown musicians growing up, he immediately began to focus on his passion for it. He picked up the guitar in his early teens but didn't pursue it thoroughly until he was 20 and a freshman in college. His music is an extension of himself mostly stemming from his inspirations, Jimi Hendrix and John Mayer. Always one to stray from the norm of the modern times, many would call him an "old, mellow soul", which is shown through his playing style and lyrical content. His music portrays going through hardships but staying optimistic that you will overcome them. Music like his is more than just relatable, it's passionate and fills people up with emotions they may not be able to express. There is potential in Kavion's musical approach and anticipation for where he will take the love for his craft.

Recently motivated by a fellow musician to get back to working on his own music and playing at open mics for exposure, Kavion has risen to the challenge and excitement of creating something he has always dreamed of; his own voice in music. Currently working on his EP "Now", he finally feels he is ready to showcase his skills and passion to the world with fervor.
