One of the most unique voices of the deep house scene, Kavita, is back with her trademark uplifting vibe and sound.
A Canadian based in London, Kavita has been building a consistent following as a singer/ songwriter over the past decade. She has already been championed by the likes of Kerri Chandler, Fred Everything, and Tony Humphries and has been featured on Naked Music, Soul Heaven and Southport Weekender compilations, to name a few. She has now based in London and has a loyal online following, especially via YouTube. Her most well-known collaborations are in the jazzy house genre with Flipside records and Bougie Soliterre producer Bettina Costanzo. They produced and released several singles and an album distributed by Pinnacle/4am to regular positive reviews in Plastik, DJ, Jockey Slut, Ministry of Sound, Touch, IDJ Magazine Wax between 1999 to 2007. Their most well known collaboration is ‘Superficial’, in which Kavita is the vocalist/co-songwriter. The song is considered a deep house classic and is regularly re-released due to demand. She has now joined forces with Broadcite and producer T-Roy to produce a long-awaited EP due for release in 2012.
