Kawe Calypso, is a calypsonian group from Cahuita, a small city located on Costa Ricas Caribbean Coastline. The group, formed by Danny Williams, Otillio Brown and Alfonso Goulbourne, have great careers as composers, performers and teachers of calypso.
Danny and Alfonso grew up in Cahuita and discovered their passion for making music during the 1970s with the Buddha Band, one of Costa Ricas most famous and accomplished calypso bands. Otillio is a high-end guitarist who joined the Kawe Calypso over 10 years ago.
Today they are dedicated to teaching and radiating the genre of which for many years has served as a means of expression and good vibes.
