Kaya are electronic music producing duo from Ireland consisting of best friend Charlie Marx (19) and Scott McCann (18)
The pair, who went to school together, started to produce music together during 2012 due to their mutual love of electronic dance music. The pair quickly realised the potential that the partnership had a quickly set about producing quality tracks and remixes.
The duo entered the global Brian Culbertson "Still Here" remix competition and finished a very respectable 2nd place, this was the catalyst for enhanced passion, inspiration and above all determination to achieve their long term goals.
The duo followed up the remix competition with a series of progressive and electro house tracks. 2 electro house tracks were signed up by Danish label "Melonsound" and due for release early March 2013.
A track entitled "Distanza" was then sent into the BBC introducing database and was hand picked by dj "Rigsy" to be broadcasted nationally on BBC radio as the finale of his radio slot. Rigsy jokingly described the dynamic duo as "two irritatingly talented human beings".
This track also grabbed the attention of Dutch outfit "LuPS (Locked up Progressive Sounds). Not only did LuPS sign the track (also due for release early 2013) the label was so excited by the production, they also requested the team to perform remix duties for future LuPS releases. Kaya has already remixed one of LuPS records and its due out 15th February.
The pair have recently started their own radioshow on ReelHouse FM; Kaya Presents: Klub Karnival, broadcasting every wednesday to multiple nations (America, Australia, UK, Canada etc.)
Kaya is a duo that are destined for big things. With the burning desire, determination and passion for their music the duo are committed to working as hard as possible and this is the key element in their present and future success. They will stop at nothing to achieve their goals and dreams.
