MN Nice was my first full release although it's only available through me or at a show. The title single MN Nice is featured on KDWB's website which is a local Radio Station owned by Clear Channel so it is on affiliates websites also. Growing up listening to so many genres of music that they all influenced the style of music. Everything from country, rock and roll, jazz, hip hop, rap, soul, r&b, disco, but the one genre that I could relate the most to was hip hop and it became my outlet for expression. Really wanting to be like House of Pain, De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, LL Cool J, Snoop, Jay-Z, Biggie, Tupac, so many hip-hop artists. Then growing an appreciation for good song writing from all genres and artists. Alot of hip-hop artists shy away from it hoping to not be pigeon holed as another white rapper, but I don't Eminem was a huge influence when I was a senior in high school and The Slim Shady LP dropped it changed my life, I could relate so much to the music and lyrics on the CD and it kinda gave me a sense of security in what I was doing writing hip hop songs and rhyming with my guys on the front porch or in the commons at school, he made it ok to be a white rapper. Although I don't want to be a rapper and am not a rapper I make hip-hop music not rap.
