Bio

Ohio-born and current Atlanta, Ga resident KayeJeye embraced his love of music at the early age of 8. He was later fortified by discovering his mother's and father's South Carolinian family all possessed the musical talents he had inherited. His early singing years aligned him with family group Kango, an R&B group which he became both lead and background singer. Together Kango traveled to the far east of the globe to perform in Japan, Korea and China. KayeJeye's musical accomplishments include singing at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem NY, a "Hall of Greatness" where other black musical legends like James Brown and Luther Vandross got their start. His experience at the Apollo signified he had "arrived in the realm of legends." KayeJeye has also written songs with contemporary R&B great EzE Errol Taylor, producer and songwriter of Silk hits "Freak Me Baby" "Girl You For Me" and "Loose Control." KayeJeye has also worked world reknowned producers Rico Wade and Ray Murray of The Dungeon Family/ Organized Noize who produced and wrote hits for TLC "Waterfalls" OutKast and GoodieMob to name a few! His biggest sense of accomplishment comes from having worked with Ohio- born and childhood friend Macy Gray. Because of his love and devotion to Hip-Hop, in recent years he has produced many local R&B and Hip-Hop acts spanning the Atl, to Nyc. His own R&b and Hip-Hop, once heard, isn't soon forgotten. KayeJeye's r&b/soul singing is reminiscent of old school greats like Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield. New school's Maxwell, Usher, Thicke, and Neyo's unyielding and influential sound. His ability to explore all facets of musical production as both artist and producer forms his R&B Street Hip-Hop Symphonated Soul/South music that makes people want to dance, unite, or just simply make love together. His songs about the beauty of a woman or the struggle of a man will touch those who listen to his intense production and captivating vocal style. With his pen as his sword, his silky voice and music as his shield, KayeJeye is determined to bring his music to the whole world!
