"Company Funtion"

"The Jazz Affair performed at our Company Picnic at Saratoga Springs, and was the life of the party. The music was versatile and pleased everyone's taste from the very young to the semi-retired. It was fun to watch guests from other picnic areas slipping into our group in order to listen and watch. Everyone was impressed by the musicians' talent on the instruments and the singer's voice. The players were punctual, professional, and dressed appropriately for the event. They were friendly to our employees and their families, and they were willing to adjust their program to meet the spontaneous changes occurring at our event. It was such a treat to listen to and do business with such a professional group of musicians. Our Company clearly received a lot of value for its dollars spent on hiring A Jazz Affair for its summer picnic." Antoinette Ryglisyn, Director of Human Resources

"25th Anniversary Party"

"Kaye, Don't worry, be happy. You and yours were great!! What a night God gave us tonight. He made it a "not a sweater" night with plenty of room for your boys. Heaters??? You were too hot for heaters. I had one if needed, though. How many people do you think you touched tonight? I think it was close to 90ish. I would have you doing it again. Bless you, Kaye, and again thanks for the wonderful memories. Victor"

"Birthday Party"

"Do we want a boom box or a band? That was the question my sister posed to me when we were beginning to make plans for our Father's 80th birthday in January 2006. Of course, being the thrift monger that I am, thought that a boom box could suffice for setting the mood for a party. Wrong! My sister insisted on hiring a band, especially after she had found Kaye Roze on Gigmasters.com and listened to her audio samples. After going to the website and listening to Kaye's and her band's musical talents myself, I was sold as well. If you are debating between having canned music and having a live band perform at your event, I encourage you to remember that you get what you pay for. A boom box may fill the room with sound, but it cannot rival the presence and interaction of live performers. Kaye and her band were consummate professionals, arriving early to set up and test their sound equipment, consulting with us about timing during the event (such as when to begin the music when our father arrived, timing for the presentation of the cake, among the myriad of minutiae involved in carrying off an event). Kaye and her band were essential ingredients in making our Father's birthday party no only a success but also an event those who attended will long remember -- and we have the thank you notes from guests to prove it! It was a poignant evening filled with music, dance, and laughter. Thanks, Kaye and guys! I'd say, "Book 'em!" John Albrecht

"Graduation Party"

"Kaye was very accommodating from the first contact through the last song played. We were trying to play it by ear and have part of the party outside by the pool and then move indoors when it got dark. We weren't sure up until that night if things were going to work because the wind picked up at the last minute but they withstood the elements and played outside because I had specifically requested that venue to open the party. Everybody in her ensemble was very nice and great to work with. The style of music was exactly as I'd hoped for and helped to make for a great celebration. I was very pleased; my only disappointment was that the hours flew by and I didn't get to hear enough of the music up close. We had about 50 guests in our home and mingled through several rooms. I found my best friends sitting alone in the living room at one point because they were enjoying the music so much. Great job, I'd definitely recommend you to others. Thanks so much. Gene"

"Fundraising Event"

"Yes, we did enjoy it and I'm so glad I got to see you perform...you were wonderful. Have a wonderful holiday and I hope to get the opportunity to work with you again in the near future."

Bio

When Kaye sings, she tells the story from her heart. In the spirit of Judy Garland, she loves to entertain and is at her best in front of an audience. Her wide vocal range allows her to manipulate her voice to sound like anything she wants from a packing a wallop on a gutsy blues or energetic swing tune to a passionate ballad to classical high tones or the voice of a 16 year old. Kaye is described as "the little girl with a big voice."

In the early 1990’s she began singing jazz after attending jazz vocal classes with Roger Letson and at Madeline Eastman’s Jazz Camp West. Kaye then formed a band called The Jazz Affair. She has performed with "first call" Bay Area jazz musicians in clubs and at events such as Café Fino, Katie Blooms, San Francisco Fairmont Hotel, Claremont Hotel, Niccolino's Garden Cafe, The Agenda Lounge, Hyatt Regency, Prevot's, Art and Wine Festivals, and charter ships in San Francisco and more. Corporations and clubs which have engaged her such as Cisco Systems, Sakata Seed, Magellan, Sony and The Rotary Club for their company events have been very pleased, as stated in their testimonials. At the grand opening of Smart & Final the coordinators said the music was perfect for the setting they were trying to achieve. Kaye Roze Jazz Affair is dedicated to making each performance a happy musical memory.

Kaye performs as a soloist or arranges various duo/trio/combo configurations incorporating a variety of instruments and musical styles including jazz standards, big band, swing, country, blues, and early rock. She honors requests and learn new songs for special occasions. Her CD release entitled, "I’ll Be Seeing You", is available on http://cdbaby.com/cd/kayeroze or by Email or at events, and snippets of featured songs can be heard at www.kayeroze.com or at Sonicbids.com.
