Bio

The name's Kay Hunie and I'm 18 years old. I've been an entertainer forever, but I began to seriously pursue show business at the age of 9 (that was when I did my first commercial). I began taking voice lessons when I was 12 to help me land the role of 'Young Nala' in the Los Angeles musical, "The Lion King".

My style of music is different from evrything out at the moment, kind of a hip-hop/pop feel with a tad bit of soul in my melodies occasionally.I'm a singer/songwriter/actress/dancer and I've been singing all of my life. I just recently began my solo project; before this month I had been in a group for over 5 years and would've never expected to branch out on my own, but now that I have I'm very excited! As an artist my mission is to continually perfect my art and my art is music! I also strive to make music that everyone can listen to no matter what age, race, or gender. My music is my heart and it is my pleasure to share it with all of you!

I'd like to thank my parents for putting up with me and setting great examples(most of the time lol). Sometimes I think they're standards are high, but now I know it's because they believe in me so much. Thanks! I also want to thank the people who have made my life a little more difficult at times, ya'll are my inspiration, you've all helped me find my voice and taught me how to hold my own. Next, I have to thank my musical producers Big City. and Sterling; vocal teachers, Steve Yriarte and Cyndi Evans; and dance choreographer Free for working with me so well on such short notice; you guys have really been a blessing to this project. Saving the best for last, I have to thank God; he's always embraced me when no one else was there. He truly is my best friend.

I hope that all of you will enjoy listening to my music just as much as I've enjoyed making for you!
