"I don't know where KB Jones is from, but I feel where he's coming from while listening to "The Honey on the Side." In other words, regardless of what city Joens represents, he still represents that real hip-hop that we can feel. Jones was even so nice to allow me to give to y'all BEFORE its July 4th release date so download away!"

Bio

Daniel “KB Jones” Munoz is a Hip-Hop artist based out of the Long Island/Queens New York area. Taking a good look at the world sideways, with a sense of innovation, KB is not the typical “rapper” you are used to seeing in music.

Versatile, would probably be the best word to use when speaking about KB’s music. With song topics varying from his love interests, political thoughts, partying, to story telling, there’s no telling where the mind of KB Jones will take the listener next. The mix of raps from his personal experience and stories that touch upon important topics in today’s world, KB Jones’ music is extremely easy to relate to, no matter where you are from.

KB got into writing songs at an early age. Starting out writing poetry in middle school, KB soon got hooked on the sounds of classic hip-hop artists like A Tribe Called Quest, Common, De La Soul, The Roots & The Pharcyde amongst others.

As a young man, KB used the art form as a way to ventilate his emotions. Whether it was his learning “disability,” his parents, the opposite sex, or whatever a middle class adolescent might be thinking about, hip-hop became his psychiatrist at a time where he thought no one would listen. It wasn’t until College when KB started to perform with a band called “The Spoken Truth.” This is where KB found his performing self and really became interested in making music his profession.

After graduation KB went his own way musically and released and "street album" called "The Honey on the Side" in July of 2011, with a full length debut LP on its way in early 2012.

“When I’m angry, music is my ventilation system, freeing me from any unpleasant feelings. When I’m happy it’s my hit of X, enhancing my happiness. Basically it’s my drug, and if you took it away from me I would act the same way any drug addict would. I’d feel like it was the end of the world. I could never kick this music shit, and I don’t think I ever will.”
