Bio
Kenneth Martez Crump was born and raised on the westside of Detroit, MI. He is the son of Cynthia Burnett a cosmetologist and Kenneth Burnette an artist and author of A Hot January Night. Crump was exposed to hip-hop music at a young age of 5. He took pride in watching his uncle and older cousins record on a 4-track tape recorder in their grandmothers basement. It was inevitable that Kenneth would soon partake in those same musical activities. While developing his composition skills, friends and other family quickly took notice of his ability to freestyle. These rhymes were clever and at times sounded better than the average MCs written lyrics. While attending David Mackenzie High School, Crump earned a name for himself by crushing competitors in various freestyle battles and talent show competitions.
