Bio

JP, raised in Houston, TX moved to Florida when he was younger. Already interested in the music industry, JP recorded his own demos over a computer mic and a compact disc player until he went on to high school. In high school JP met KD, a classmate in one of his freshman classes. KD already beginning to make instrumentals in his own time asked to hear some of JP's songs from the demo. Noticing much talent from JP's music, KD insisted that he would make beats for JP and make this a group effort.

Starting off as "KD and Houston Kid," the two became well known around Orlando, Florida. These two talented locals sold mix tapes and singles all over the city. Their first mix tape "The Introduction" landed in 2005 and was a hit CD around the region. With the money earned from "The Introduction," the two then set up a professional home studio. For months after The Introduction came out, KD and JP began working on their second album. Later to be named the "Southern Takeover," the CD with hits such as "Hatas," "Break It Down," and "Just Don't Know," the mixtape blew up locally once again proving that these artists have talent.

In 2007 KD and JP were nominees to open up for Orlando’s Power 95.3 F.M. Calle Orange Festival, which featured Hurricane Chris, Pitbull, Flo-Rida, Treal, Mr. Vegas and several other well known artist in the music industry. It is now 2008 and KD & JP are continuing to make music, just finishing their third CD "Grind Time." The singles from the album are expected to hit radio stations in Orlando, while the album as a whole gets shopped to land a major record label.

KD & JP are aiming to be different then anyone else in the game.
