Kebba

The name Kebba, means leader in a West African dialect. Since that is what he is, this Harlem native felt no need to use a moniker for hip-hop. Though he split his time partying, hustling and battle rapping while attending Temple University, it was then that Kebba realized music was his means for true self-expression.

After performing in a private showcase for Alicia Keys, Kebba became certain that he was destined for fame when she proclaimed that he had itthe talent and charisma it takes to make it in the music industry. Soon after, reps from Timbalands camp showed interest in his music and featured him on Bluri.com. When widower Mayme Johnson, of the late Harlem gangster Bumpy Johnson, heard one of his songs, she asked him to appear on her book cover for Harlem Godfather: The Rap on my Husband, Ellsworth Bumpy Johnson and allowed him to do a biographic song about her late husband.

Kebba has released three projects, entitled MY World, 1158, @iamkebba and MKS: selling units in the U.S. and overseas through itunes, amazon and his official website, www.iamkebba.com.

With his witty wordplay and innovative lyrics, his gift to the music industry doesnt rely on where hes from, his education, or street rep. His brilliance lies is in his ability to fuse life experiences with unrivaled concepts through music.
