Kebeko

The Montreal-based band Kebeko is about to present its debut E.P., entitled Coléoptère, which perfectly reflects the members’ eclecticism and diverse musical backgrounds.

Having participated in festivals such as POP Montréal, le Festival international des Nuits d’Afrique et le Festival d’été de Vancouver, Kebeko has begun to carve out a place for itself in Quebec’s rich musical landscape. With its fusion of rock, funk, cumbia, reggae and compa, Kebeko is the bracing and compelling sound of the collision of musical cultures which takes place in the unknown-to-outsiders, community-bred corners of the city. 

It is the quintessential sound of Montreal – without the skinny jeans.
