Keemo V

Tevon Telfer (Keemo V) was born in Brooklyn, New York where he was raised by his grandmother Neola Scott. Keemo V's family originated from the islands of Trinidad and Tobago, once in the U.S after times of being poor, his family was able to build an empire and now own and run many successful businesses.
At the age of 8, Keemo V moved from New York down to Georgia where he lived with his mother until the age of 14, then due to family altercations moved in with his aunt where he lived until the age of 16. Once he moved out of his aunt's house, he then ventured out on his own.
While living in Georgia, Keemo V attended Stephenson High School where he graduated from in 2006. After high school he started attending college at Devry University. While attending college he realized that school just was not for him, then found himself moving to Nashville Tennessee to pursue a relationship.
All throughout his life music has always been a huge part of who he is and what he does. Keemo V started with poetry as a way to escape and write down his thoughts and feelings which he could not always express to everyone. After a while he took his poetry and formulated it into music. Once he realized what he was capable of he started writing more and more which are now songs, that he feels most can relate to. "I chose to pursue music because I realize how music affects people and instead of holding all my thoughts to myself, I use it as a way to escape, I decided to share because us as people go through the same things and music helps people get through situations and they are able to find an escape as well through my music." Keemo V refers to his music as "ME-sic". He is not subject to any certain genre of music; "I do alot of hip hop and rap, but music is music and I don't believe in types. So at the end of the day I do ME-sic."
Keemo V had recently ventured down Music Row in Nashville, TN to record his latest single "Don't Push Me" which lets you hear a glimpse of this talented artist and what he considers his "ME-sic".
This young artist has many goals and aspirations with his "ME-sic", "I just want to go further then I've ever been and continue to climb. I want to be heard and appeal to everyday people. I will make it by promoting myself with the help of my team and other very effective people in the music society. I will use all sources to get music heard, especially social networking, as well as appearing at shows and different venues is definitely a must, but either way I will do everything I have to do to to get to where I need to be."
