Kelle Olwyler

BandLatinAmericana

A "new" sultry latin sound, that men think is sexy and makes women cry. Modern and richly emotive.

Biography

Raised in central Mexico by New England parents, Kelle began writing music with her father at age 6. Coordinator of a women's songwriting group in Asheville, NC, it wasn't until 2003 that she began to write songs in Spanish. Her great surprise was the way that people in the U.S. react to her songs . . . men tell her they sound sexy, while women claim they break their hearts and make them cry. "Who would have thought that given people can't understand the words, they find their own feeling and meaning in the songs." Kelle also produces house concerts in Asheville, NC.

Love You All Night Long

Written By: Kelle Olwyler

LOVE YOU ALL NIGHT LONG

Since the moment I met you
I heard your love song
A sugar call that takes me places I’ve never gone.
I’m going on a further expedition . . .
When it comes to wanting you
I’ve got me a mission.

Since the first time I kissed you
I found harmony
The kind that only goes with your particular melody.
And so you know my position
When it comes to your heart, Babe,
Give me your permission.

To love you all night long
From the time the sun goes down
To the very first rays
That welcome in God’s day.
To love you in the afternoon,
When the sun is hot and the day’s in bloom.
I’ll never get enough of you,
I’ll never get enough of you.

Since the first time I loved you
I found me a dream
Of loving you a lifetime and every hour in between.
Since you, I’ve got a blessed heart condition.
When it comes to you and me
I got a proposition.

To love you all night long
From the time the sun goes down
To the very first rays
That welcome in God’s day.
To love you in the afternoon,
When the sun is hot and the day’s in bloom.
I’ll never get enough of you,
I’m gonna love you every afternoon
When the sun beats down and the day’s in bloom
I can’t get enough of you
I’ll never get enough of you.

Miedo de Amor

Miedo de Amor

By Kelle Olwyler

Y tal vez tu no eras algo importante.
Satisfecha no, nunca quedare.
Con miedo de amor . .

Y tal vez tu no eras algo importante.
Satisfecha no, nunca quedare.
Con miedo de amor . . . aun no se.
Satisfecha no, nunca quedare.
Con miedo de amor . . . aun no se.

English Translation:
Afraid of Love

I pull the blankets up over the bed
It’s been months since the imprint of your body can be seen.
And upon opening the door to the bathroom
There is only my old toothbrush.

The masculine perfume of your skin evaporates
More and more every hour.
I ask myself if you were real
Or merely a reality show.
(this works in Spanish but not in English!)

Like a coin tossed into the water
Like the desire for something that has no answer
Like creams that claim to give youth
Like arrogance left behind too late
Perhaps it only maters in the moment
And maybe you weren’t really something so important
Satisfied, no, I will never be.
Afraid of love . . . perhaps.

The rhythm of the metro puts me to dreaming
Of nights of passion in which I put my faith.
It was an impossible love!
And I a fool, now not so innocent.

A bland bowl of rice
Supper without conversation
I approach the bed made for two
And pray the nightmares don’t come.

Like a coin tossed into the water
Like the desire for something that has no answer
Like creams that claim to give youth
Like arrogance left behind too late
Perhaps it only maters in the moment
And maybe you weren’t really something important
Satisfied, no, I will never be.
Afraid of love . . . perhaps.
Satisfied, no, I will never be.
Afraid of love . . . perhaps.

Olvidarte Es Imposible

Written By: Kelle Olwyler

Olvidarte Es Imposible

Olvidarte es imposible
Hoy-mañana cuando sea anciana
iendo por las calles de memorias
Que me diste cada día.

Por la ventana en mi cuarto
Se ve los vidrios de las oficinas
Todos se ocupan con trabajo.
Y nadie sabe que aqui me encuentro
Hueca, desorientada

Me tocará,
Dándome un nuevo corazón.
Yo juro que te sobrevivire
Aunque-en algun momento yo se,

Olivdarte es imposible.
Olivdarte es imposible.
Es imposible
Es imposible.
