Bio
Kellie Welch is a songwriter, a singer, and a dulcimer player living in Brooklyn. After realizing midway through her time at a conservatory for musical theater that she didn't want to be an actress, she began writing her own music. Fueled by a deep love of Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, and Tom Petty, Kellie began to forge her own musical style that is as pop driven as it is poetic. She played her first show to a small and supportive crowd at the Path Cafe, but moved quickly onto larger venues such as Rockwood Music Hall and Black Birch Vineyard in Massachusetts. Lyrics for her original song "What's Left" received honorable mention in one of American Songwriter's lyric contests. Her debut EP, 'The Water,' is available now on iTunes.
