Half a Chance

Written By: Kellie Lee

HALF A CHANCE

One moment you’re looking into each others eyes, there could be no other
Then the baby cries, the bills are due and there’s the phone and it’s his mother

Does love stand half a chance between the dishes and the trash?
Does life always have to butt in and ruin a good romance?

I don’t know but I’d like to see
If we could drop some responsibilities
And spend time for just you and me
I
Call a babysitter, pay the bills later and let the voicemail convey
That we finally took a much needed get away
To see if our love is real
More important than watching deal or no deal
Spend some time kissing
See what we’ve been missing

Does love stand half a chance between the dishes and the trash?
Does life always have to butt in and ruin a good romance?

We need to close our eyes to all life’s clutter
And cling unto to what really matters
What do you think
can we leave those dirty dishes in the sink?
and give love a fighting chance?

Good Enough

I saw Mrs. Cooper walking with her head bent low
All the hard work has taken its toll
And all through the years
All she needed to hear
Were three little words
Said loud and clear
You’re good enough
Just as you are
You’re doing fine with what you’ve been give so far
Life has some very hard tests
But I know you’re doing your best
You’re good enough

Sue’s waited all week for him to arrive
With the child support she needs to survive
But he has nothing nice to say
Just yells how can you raise our son this way?
And when he leaves she wipes away the tears
All she needed to hear was
You’re good enough
Just as you are
You’re doing fine with what you’ve been give so far
Life has some very hard tests
But I know you’re doing your best
You’re good enough

Tom ‘s worked overtime again this week
Trying so hard to succeed
But by the time he gets home
The kids are asleep and dinner is cold
He’s just wants to sit
But right way she’s at him again
all he needs to hear
are three little words said loud and clear
You’re good enough
Just as you are
You’re doing fine with what you’ve been give so far
Life has some very hard tests
But I know you’re doing your best
You’re good enough

Anns sitting alone is what can barely be called a home
With no family or friends
just an urge to start drinking again
If only she had someone near
To tell her what she needs to hear
You’re good enough
Just as you are
You’re doing fine with what you’ve been give so far
Life has some very hard tests
But I know you’re doing your best
You’re good enough

We’re all good enough

sign me up

Written By: Kellie Lee

Sign me up

It’s the crack of dawn
And I hear the footsteps coming down the hall
It won’t be long
Before mommy will be on call
The dream swimming round my head
Vanishes as they abruptly drag out of bed

It seems to be that way these days
They need me in so many ways

Can you pour the milk?
Can you tie my shoe?
I lost my homework, mom what will I do?
There’s one thing after another
It sure is tough being a mother

I think something musta gone amiss
I don’t remember signing up for this

Society made it seem pretty easy
Fall in love have some kids one or two or even three
But raising these kids is the hardest thing I ever did
Always a state of emergency
Never enough time left for me

Brush your hair
Brush your teeth
Did you get enough to eat?
And it’s bound to get more complicated
This job sure is underrated

Something must have gone amiss
I don’t remember signing up for this.

But at the end of the day
As exhausted in bed I lay
They give me a big hug and kiss
And say we love you mom,
You’re the best there is

So go get my pen
Cause I’ll sign up for this all over again

Oh yeah I’ll sign up for this again

forever dreaming

FOREVER DREAMING

Am I on the road to nowhere
Everything I do mean nothing
it's hard to tell
only time knows
and he is quiet often laughing

Is there more is there less
I have no answer I have no guess
I just keep on asking

Should I live
should I die
Then I look into your eyes
and the questions are disappearing

Cause right here and now
is all that matters as far as I can tell
just you and me
is all I need to be
Forever Dreaming

I can dream of heaven
Soar above it all
If you hold on tight and never let me fall

I don’t need the answers
I don’t need to find blame
I don’t need the truth
I just need to know your name

Cause right here and now
Is all that matters as far as I can tell
Just you and me
Is all I need to be
Forever Dreaming

And I want to keep on dreaming

Gotta keep on dreaming
