Kellie Loder is a Juno Award Nominated  singer and songwriter from Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada, and no stranger to the NL music scene. She is quickly becoming recognized as one of the province’s best songwriters because of the depth, dynamic, and thoughtful, lyrical content she brings to each song.

In her early career, Christian music was her genre of focus, but recently has transitioned into the folk/pop realm. In November 2015, Kellie opened for Northern Ireland’s song writing sensation, Paul Brady, at the Holy Heart Theatre, and also shared a stage with The Fortunate Ones, Sherman Downey, Alan Doyle, and Shannygannock at Shaun Majumder’s “The Gathering” this past summer. She was a featured/showcasing artist at both this year’s ECMA and MUSIC NL Award weeks, and was named a top ten finalist (#1 in her province) in the 2015 National CBC Searchlight Competition. Following this, Kellie was given the opportunity through Bell Media/Music NL artist selection to write with and be mentored by award-winning songwriter and producer Justin Gray (98 Degrees, John Legend, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, Joss Stone, Hillary Duff, Amy Winehouse and more).

Currently, Kellie’s focus is on creating a record to showcase the artist she has become and build a larger fan base inside and outside of the province. She plans to accomplish this by collaborating with both Justin Gray and highly respected local producer, Ian Foster. A reporter for The Telegram called Loder’s voice “powerful yet serene and soulful”.

In 2013, Kellie travelled to Nashville to showcase her music at the CWIMA conference ( Upon returning, world-renown author and social media expert, Sandi Krakowski ( shared a video of the performance saying “Today I heard a song that has only 100 views and with all that is within me, all I can sayis this song needs 1 MILLLION views! Please, my friends, take a few moments and listen to this. I have NEVER done this before on my blog. People send me songs everyday, but this one… it ruined me”.  The video went on to receive over 5000 YouTube hits in just two days.

Kellie’s songs have been played regularly on both Christian and mainstream radio stations, both locally and across the country. Specifically, her song “Raise You Higher” was selected for several song countdowns, reaching a high of #2.   The song was also chosen for the semi-finals round in the International Songwriting Competition. A CBC Radio reviewer called Loder “amazingly talented” and her music “gorgeous”.

With two albums (“The Way” in 2009 & “Imperfections & Directions” in 2010) in Loder’s back pocket, she holds a great track record and her fans have been receptive to her change in direction. Loder declares. “My life is always evolving, and therefore a change in my music will be reflected and heard, because whatever my life is, my music is”. Ultimately, her upcoming album will tell a story of growth and self-discovery.
