Bio
Kelli Johnson is a singer/songwriter from Gadsden ,
Al. She has been performing at various bluegrass
festivals and other venues in the Southeast for almost
a decade.
Formerly the lead singer for the Dynamic Bluegrass/
Americana group Distant Cousins, Kelli is also an
accomplished solo artist! Though she has been compared
to artists like Allison Krauss , Sheryl Crow , and Rhonda
Vincent , she has taken her love of Bluegrass , Country,
R & B , and Rock to create a sound that is all her own
and like no other!
Her blend of traditional and progressive bluegrass has
created an ever growing fan base among even the most
traditional fans.
Her original song, "Somebody in Alabama Loves You"
earned her a Top 4 spot in the ABC 33/40 / Herd Records
Original Artist contest!
Kelli has been a guest on the Award -Winning
Rick and Bubba Show,and is a regular at the Foggy Hollow
Bluegrass Gathering!
She is also producing and hosting her own TV
show, Centerstage, on WJXS TV 24 out of Jacksonville, Al!
