Kelly Ballard was born in Lawrenceville, GA, and grew up in Loganville, GA. Kelly is currently serving in the the Army National Guard as a Military Police Officer. She was deployed to Iraq from 2007-2008. She truely has a heart for her military family. In 2012 Kelly performed with many local artist from Georgia and won the title of Today's Country Idol 2012 with WYNR Radio Station 102.5 out of Brunswick, Ga. She has recently shared the stage with The LACS, Lenny Cooper, Twang & Round, Big Smo,Cody McCarver and LowCash Cowboys. Coming straight out of Glennville, GA, Kelly Ballard is a wonderful and fresh talent in the world of Country music. She has a powerful and sometimes raspy voice. She sings with character and sexiness that just hooks you into the song. Her first single "When You Go" created quite a buzz both nationally and internationally. Her follow up single "Murder Creek",released in July 9, 2012, is an edgy rockin' country beat that is a testament to the versatility of this artist. Kelly recently wrote the song "All You Need To Be" about her mothers fight with Leukemia, and how she was her "rock" emotionally. As an up and coming artist she is surely in the ranks with some of Nashville's best female country artist. Kelly is also nominated for 2013 Best Female Country Artist and Best Music Video of the Year for the Georgia Music Awards being held at The Buckhead Theater June 8, 2013 in Atlanta, Ga. Last but not least we've just received news that Kelly has been nominated for 2013 Best Female for the Georgia Country Music Awards as well.
