Biography of Kelly Levine

Kelly Levine is an up-and-coming songwriter whose determination and God-given talent make it impossible for her to not succeed. She grew up around the music business and has been writing radio-quality songs since the young age of 12.

Irwin Levine, Kelly’s father, wrote numerous #1 hit songs that read like a “Who’s Who” of the 1960’s and 1970’s. “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole’ Oak Tree”, “Knock Three Times”, and “Candida”, all Tony Orlando and Dawn hits, are only a small part of this list. Partridge Family songs, “This Diamond Ring” by Gary Lewis and the Playboys, and countless others also written by Irwin Levine, put him in the category of songwriting legend.

At age 17, one of Kelly’s songs was performed on the popular television show, “Star Search”. Kelly co-wrote songs for years with some of today’s major writers like R. Fusari, writer of Destiny’s Child’s biggest hits and Will Smith’s “Wild Wild West”. Kelly also collaborated with the then unknown, now internationally popular group, “The Baha Men”.

This year Kelly won a songwriting contest judged by renowned writers Carol Bayer Sager and David Foster, where her song, “You Just Couldn’t Stay Away,” was in competition with thousands of other songs.

Kelly’s sister, Holly L. Schwartz, Esq., is an entertainment lawyer, who’s responsible for the placement of many songs in popular television commercials as well as major movies.

It looks like music runs in the blood in the Levine family. Years from now, you can be sure to expect to know the name Kelly Levine with the numerous accomplishments she has already had, and her determination to achieve even more.
