Bio
Kelly West is a singer-songwriter from Detroit Michigan. During the 90's she performed with her band "The Saddle Spurs" at local clubs, festivals, and radio shows. "The Saddle Spurs" included musicians from "Was Not Was", "The Buzz Tones", and "The Chisel Brothers". Kelly often is accused of lip synching when covering Patsy Cline, Tanya Tucker, and Brenda Lee. Upon meeting Kelly, Brenda Lee said, "Through people like you, my music stays alive"
After a lengthy recovery from a serious car accident, she is currently working with her brother Terry Kelly on original blues, ballads, and country material. She has just finished recording a 14 song demo of new material. A couple of those songs are available to listen to on The Sonicbids site.
Kelly has twice been a semi-finalist in "The Colgate Country Challenge" and her song "Warning Label finished in second place in the Micigan 2005 songwriting contest.
